Many Hands Make Light Work
Not your regular "churchy" work.
Historically, the church has been a sanctuary for those in need. When the community needed health care, the church was there. If children needed education, the church was there. When someone was without food and shelter, the church was there.
Nowadays, it is easy to allow other agencies to aid congregants before we look to our own church family for help. This can be due to financial constraints, staffing shortages, liability concerns, policies, or sometimes just plain old apathy. But it doesn't mean we have to stay here.
ChurchWork challenges congregations to return to the older style of community outreach. A style that encourages the church to become a resource hub once again. All of this while propelling the love of Jesus by practically applying The Word!
